In this business, you get a half-billion press releases every week; pitches on everything from a new sports blog that is going to change the world, to (seriously) a new sports deodorant that will make your armpits smile.
But this is just cool. Especially if you're a combination of lazy, a stat-hound, a baseball junkie, on a deadline, and lazy.
Go to www.enth.com and start performing searches. Not the old kind of search, though. If you really want to know who led the Mariners in OBP between June and August of 1987, ask who led the Mariners in OBP between June and August of 1987.
Or go simple: Who led the Chicago Cubs in hit batters in 1967?
Just ask these kinds of things.
There is no end to how lazy you can be while wasting time perusing useless sports information.
It's beautiful.
